Acceptance

By creating an account or using OutsiderMap you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These Terms apply to all users, including free visitors and subscribers.

The service

OutsiderMap provides an interactive map showing cultural friction scores for cities around the world, filtered by demographic identity. Scores are derived from community-submitted reviews and AI-estimated seed data. The service is provided for informational purposes only.

OutsiderMap is not a travel advisory service, a safety guarantee, or a legal guide. Do not rely solely on OutsiderMap data to make decisions that affect your safety, legal status, or wellbeing. Always verify current conditions through authoritative local sources.

Accounts

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
• You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Subscriptions and billing

Full access to OutsiderMap requires an annual subscription, currently priced at $49/year. Payments are processed by Paddle.

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each annual period.
• You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
• Refunds are offered within 14 days of purchase if you are unsatisfied. Contact us at hello@outsidermap.com.
• Prices may change on renewal. We will give at least 30 days notice before a price increase takes effect.

User-submitted content

When you submit a review you grant OutsiderMap a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, display, and use that content to calculate city scores and power the service.

You agree not to submit content that is:

• Deliberately false or fabricated to manipulate scores.
• Hateful, threatening, or targeted harassment of any individual or group.
• Commercial spam or promotion of external services.
• In violation of any applicable law.

We may remove any review that violates these rules without notice.

Acceptable use

You may not use OutsiderMap to:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically download data without written permission.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code.
• Circumvent authentication, access controls, or subscription gates.
• Introduce malware, bots, or automated scripts that place undue load on the service.
• Impersonate OutsiderMap, its operators, or other users.

Intellectual property

The OutsiderMap name, logo, codebase, AI-generated summaries, and overall design are owned by OutsiderMap. You may not reproduce or distribute them without written permission.

Community-submitted review data is licensed under CC BY 4.0 — you may use it with attribution.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

OutsiderMap is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that scores are accurate, current, or complete.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OutsiderMap and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service, including any travel decisions made based on OutsiderMap data.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Argentina, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Buenos Aires, Argentina, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or a notice on the site at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
